Bridge inspection scheduled for US 24 at Manitou Springs on April 20

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on April 10 that its bridge maintenance team will conduct inspection work on US Highway 24 at Mile Point 297.7 over Canon Avenue in Manitou Springs on Monday, April 20. During this time, motorists should expect delays as travel will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

The upcoming bridge inspection is expected to impact traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with eastbound and westbound lanes limited and potential delays of up to fifteen minutes. Canon Avenue will also experience intermittent closures managed by flaggers during active work periods. Drivers are advised to slow down near the work zone, maintain extra space between vehicles, and allow additional travel time.
