CDOT announces CO 145 shoulder work and traffic delays near Telluride on April 16

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on April 15 that crews will perform culvert cleaning and shoulder clearing operations along Colorado Highway 145, west of Telluride, on Thursday, April 16. The work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Keystone Hill between Telluride and Placerville (Mile Points 73 to 74), with motorists expected to encounter full stops, alternating traffic, and delays of up to 20 minutes.

Routine maintenance is necessary to remove debris and help prevent erosion or flooding along the roadway. The operations are weather permitting. Motorists traveling through the area should plan for extra travel time due to anticipated delays ranging from 15 to 20 minutes during the daytime hours when lane shifts, closures, flaggers, and signage will be present.
