The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will implement long-term closures for two ramps at the Interstate 25 and US Highway 50B interchange in Pueblo to support ongoing construction. The closures, which begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 10, affect the southbound I-25 off-ramp to eastbound US 50B and the westbound US 50B on-ramp to southbound I-25.

According to CDOT, both ramps and the US 50B structure over I-25 are scheduled for demolition as part of the interchange project. “Beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct.10, the Colorado Department of Transportation and its contract partner, SEMA Construction, will close the southbound I-25 off-ramp to eastbound US 50B and the westbound US 50B on-ramp to southbound I-25. These ramps and the US 50B structure over I-25 will be demolished and access to southbound I-25 from US 50B and eastbound US 50B from I-25 will return with substantial completion of the interchange project.”

Detours have been outlined for affected motorists. Drivers traveling westbound on US 50B who need access to southbound I-25 should use CO 47 (Exit 318). Those traveling south on I-25 who require access to eastbound US 50B should use CO 47 (Exit 101).

The ramp closures are expected to remain in place until major work on the interchange is finished.
