The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will hold a public open house to discuss proposed improvements for Interstate 25 between the US 36/I-270 interchange and 104th Avenue. This section of highway has experienced an increase in crashes since 2012, prompting CDOT to seek ways to enhance safety and traffic flow.

The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Thornton Community Center, located at 2211 Eppinger Blvd., Thornton, CO 80229. CDOT invites community members to attend at any time during the two-hour event. Display boards will present the proposed actions for various transportation improvements.

Attendees will have opportunities to share their ideas about the project and suggest ways to improve transit in the corridor. The public can interact with the project team during the open house, send feedback by email, call a hotline, or fill out a comment form at the meeting or online.

All materials from the open house, including an online survey, will be available on the project website after the meeting. The project area includes I-25 from US 36 to 104th Avenue and covers localities such as Northglenn, Thornton, Federal Heights, and Unincorporated Adams County.

A light meal will be provided at the event, and children’s activities will be available.
