The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin surface treatment work on Colorado Highway 145 starting Monday, August 18. The project will cover the stretch from the Society Turn Roundabout through Mountain Village Boulevard in San Miguel County.
Paving operations are scheduled to last two weeks, running Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. During this period, motorists should expect full stops, alternating traffic patterns, and delays ranging from 15 to 30 minutes as crews work on approximately three miles of CO 145 along Lawson Hill between Mile Points 69 and 72.
A maintenance alert map released by CDOT shows that paving will occur from the Society Drive Roundabout south of Mountain Village Boulevard. The agency advises drivers to plan for up to 30-minute delays and be prepared for changes in traffic flow during working hours.
“Motorists can expect up to 30-minute delays and alternating traffic between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from Aug. 18 to 28,” according to CDOT.
The project aims to improve road conditions along this section of CO 145.
