The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin resurfacing a section of US Highway 24 just east of East Platte Avenue next week. The project will cover the stretch from Mile Point 311, located just east of CO21/Powers Boulevard, to Mile Point 312, just east of Galley Road/Peterson Road.

According to CDOT, paving work will be conducted in one lane each day. As a result, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in the direction where paving operations are taking place.

The department advises drivers to expect delays and urges caution while traveling through the work zone.
