The U.S. Census Bureau released on April 9 a downloadable file with estimates of the nation’s resident population by single year of age and sex as of July 1, 2025.

These new figures provide updated demographic data for policymakers, researchers, and the public to understand changes in the country’s population structure.

According to the Census Bureau, additional data releases are planned in the coming months. These will include housing unit estimates for the nation, states, and counties, as well as population estimates for cities and towns. The bureau also plans to release further breakdowns by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin for various geographic areas including metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas and counties. Puerto Rico’s Commonwealth and municipio population estimates by age and sex are also scheduled for release.

There was no accompanying news release; this information was provided through a tip sheet only.

Future updates from the Census Bureau will offer more detailed insights into demographic trends across different regions.
