Physicians and health care providers are being asked to participate in a new national campaign aimed at protecting Medicaid funding. The initiative comes as Congress debates potential cuts to the program, which could affect care for veterans, seniors, rural hospitals, and working families.

The Protect Our Healthcare Coalition has launched a peer-to-peer texting campaign using the RumbleUp platform. Through this system, volunteers can send pre-written messages to voters in key congressional districts. The messages urge recipients to contact their representatives and oppose proposed Medicaid reductions.

“This is an opportunity for you to lend your voice, your credibility, and your leadership in a moment that matters,” the coalition stated.

Volunteers are provided with step-by-step instructions on how to join the effort. After requesting an account setup link through protectourhealthcare.org/join, participants receive guidance via email on setting up their accounts. All communication is managed through RumbleUp’s secure platform, ensuring personal phone numbers remain private.

Once registered, volunteers get a welcome email from RumbleUp containing their project password and information about their texting assignments. Additional instructional videos are available at www.protectourhealthcare.org/how-to-text.

The coalition emphasizes that participation from real volunteers is essential for the campaign’s success.

For more details or to join the campaign, interested individuals can visit https://protectourhealthcare.org/texting-program or watch the introductory video at https://protectourhealthcare.org/welcome.

“Thank you for all you do to care for your patients and strengthen our health care system,” organizers said in closing.
