The Colorado Department of Education will hold the Elevating Excellence Conference on September 17 and 18 at the Adams County Government Building in Brighton. The conference is open to teachers from all content areas and grade levels, with more than 40 sessions planned. The event aims to support educators in improving student outcomes through effective instructional practices.
Susana Córdova, Colorado Commissioner of Education, stated, “By bringing teams of leaders and educators from across districts, BOCES, and schools, we can collectively focus on what matters most—engaging students, accelerating outcomes, strengthening the educator workforce, and building operational excellence in every community. I encourage educators and leaders at every level to join us for this important event.”
The conference is free and intended for a wide range of participants including core instructional teachers, general education teachers, federal program leaders, special education professionals, English language development staff, those involved with BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services), and other local educational providers.
Registration for the conference will remain open until Friday, September 12.
The Colorado Department of Education has a stated vision to foster equitable educational environments for students and staff throughout the state. The department works to improve student outcomes by supporting Colorado’s 178 school districts and BOCES.
