The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 19 that northbound Interstate 25 from Fillmore Street to Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs will be fully closed overnight during the week of March 23 for overhead sign removal and replacement. The closure, conducted with SEMA Construction, Inc., is scheduled from 11 p.m. on Monday, March 23 to 3 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, and again from 11 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 to 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 25.
The department said the work is necessary for public safety as crews update signage along this section of I-25. Detour routes will be available via North Nevada Avenue and Centennial Boulevard during the closure period.
