The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 18 that it has completed a resurfacing project along Colorado Highway 115 in El Paso County. The work, carried out by Schmidt Construction Company, improved a six-mile stretch from Nelson Boulevard at Fort Carson Gate 1 to Brookside Street, south of Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs.
This section of CO 115 is heavily used by both local residents and commuters. The improvements are expected to provide smoother pavement and enhanced safety for motorists and pedestrians traveling through the area.
“This busy section of CO 115 is essential to local residents and commuters,” said CDOT Region Transportation Director Shane Ferguson. “Motorists and pedestrians can now expect significantly smoother pavement and enhanced safety throughout the project zone.”
