Colorado Springs Airport announced on March 27 that it saw steady travel demand in February, with airlines achieving strong load factors and some carriers showing year-over-year improvements. Allegiant Air posted the largest gain, increasing its load factor by 17.8 percentage points compared to last year, primarily due to its St. Petersburg route. The airportwide load factor also rose by 3.7 percentage points over February 2025.

The airport continues to focus on long-term growth through expanded air service and ongoing airline partnerships aimed at enhancing travel options for the Pikes Peak region.

In addition to passenger numbers, several updates were highlighted for travelers. The “Art at COS” program is accepting entries for its April exhibition titled “Inflight Dining – In Consideration of the Airline Meal,” with submissions due by April 3. The Colorado Craft seating area has opened on the concourse, providing more space for passengers.

A special event called “Flights & Bites” will take place on April 7 to celebrate the openings of Colorado Craft and Hudson Evolve, offering local flavors and expanded amenities for travelers.

Progress continues on the Elevate COS Concourse Modernization project. TSA checkpoint entry and exit ramps have permanently reopened, while installation of new ramp railings is expected to be completed by early summer as part of the final phase of modernization work.

Airlines currently serving Colorado Springs include Allegiant Air with twice-weekly flights to Phoenix/Mesa, Santa Ana/Orange County, and St. Petersburg/Tampa; American Airlines offering five daily flights to Dallas–Fort Worth plus daily service to Chicago O’Hare; Delta Air Lines flying twice daily to Atlanta (except Saturdays), Salt Lake City, and seasonal daily service returning this summer between Minneapolis–St. Paul; Southwest Airlines operating multiple routes including weekly seasonal service to Cancun in March and April; and United Airlines providing twelve daily flights to Denver as well as increased service beginning in April between Chicago O’Hare.
