Colorado Springs Airport reported a total of 202,012 passengers in December 2025, reflecting a 2.3% decrease compared to the same month in 2024. For the entire year of 2025, the airport saw 2,448,001 passengers pass through its terminals, marking a slight decline of 1.0% from the previous year.

The airport highlighted several recent updates and ongoing projects. An art exhibition titled “Window Seat: Views from the Stratosphere” held its inaugural gallery reception on January 29. A new food and beverage option, Colorado Craft, is now open near gates seven and eight. The north end of the concourse seating area has added a dual-side fireplace.

Southwest Airlines will offer tickets to Cancun for select dates in March and April 2026. Additionally, daily service to Houston will begin on March 5, 2026.

Construction continues at the concourse with improvements to post-TSA checkpoint entry and exit ramps expected to be completed by early summer 2026. As part of the ElevateCOS modernization initiative, terrazzo flooring throughout the concourse has been finished and renovations for gate one and three holdrooms are complete. The Meet & Greet area is undergoing upgrades with an advanced technology “Exit Lane Breach Control” system scheduled for launch in late February 2026.

Route updates include Allegiant Air providing twice-weekly flights to Phoenix/Mesa (AZA), Santa Ana/Orange County (SNA), and St. Petersburg/Tampa (PIE). American Airlines offers five daily flights to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) along with daily service to Chicago O’Hare (ORD). Delta Air Lines maintains twice-daily flights to Atlanta (ATL) except Saturdays and Salt Lake City (SLC), while seasonal daily service to Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) will return from June through September 30, 2026.

Southwest Airlines operated weekly seasonal service to Cancun during December and January; this route returns for selected dates in March and April next year. Service between Colorado Springs and Houston increases to daily starting March 5, while up to three daily Denver flights continue as well.

United Airlines serves Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH), and Chicago (ORD) with three destinations offered each day; there are twelve daily departures for Denver alone.
