Colorado Springs announces closures for Thanksgiving holiday

City of Colorado Springs administrative and elected offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to the city’s announcement, several facilities will not be open both days. These include administrative offices for Mountain Metropolitan Transit, cemetery offices (though gates at Fairview and Evergreen cemeteries will remain open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.), City Clerk, City Hall, Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, Deerfield Hills Community Center, Hillside Community Center, Municipal Court, Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Administrative Building, Rockledge Ranch Historic Site, Sales Tax Office, Sports Office in Memorial Park, Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center, and Westside Community Center including the Therapeutic Recreation Program Office.

Some locations will only be closed on Thursday but reopen on Friday. These are Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain; Patty Jewett Golf Course (with the Patty Jewett Bar and Grill remaining open on Thursday); Sertich Ice Center; and Valley Hi Golf Course along with its Grill & Pub.

The city advises residents to check each facility’s website for specific hours of operation and ticketing information.
