Colorado Springs closes offices early due to winter storm

City of Colorado Springs administrative offices closed early at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, due to winter weather conditions. Essential city personnel and emergency responders continued to work their normal schedules.

The Colorado Springs Municipal Court canceled its afternoon session. Those who need to reschedule court appearances are advised to call 719-385-5928 or visit the court in person once it reopens.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit maintained full service during the day, but riders were warned about possible detours and delays. Updates regarding transit service were made available through MMT’s social media channels.

Vehicle access was restricted in several city parks, including Garden of the Gods, North Cheyenne Cañon, and Palmer Park.

Public Works Operations & Maintenance Division crews worked to clear primary and secondary routes as snowfall persisted. Drivers were reminded to allow extra time for travel, use caution around snowplows, give plenty of space when passing, and maintain a safe distance since crews have limited visibility.
