Residents of Colorado Springs have shared several suggestions for New Year’s resolutions that highlight local attractions and experiences.

One recommendation is to visit the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, located about 30 minutes west of the city. The center offers educational tours where visitors can see wolves, coyotes, and foxes up close. The tour includes information on biology and history and ends with a group howl.

Another suggestion is to explore The Broadmoor, a historic property in Colorado Springs. Locals are encouraged to dine at the Golden Bee, which features British ales, singalongs, and a traditional tavern atmosphere. For those seeking adventure, The Broadmoor also offers ziplining and rope courses as part of its Soaring Adventure program. Visitors can also enjoy views at Seven Falls.

Glen Eyrie Castle is another destination mentioned by residents. Once home to General William J Palmer, founder of Colorado Springs, Glen Eyrie now hosts tea services, guided tours, and overnight stays.

The Broadmoor Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway provides an alternative way to reach the summit of Pikes Peak without hiking or driving. Riders can board this scenic train in Manitou for views from America’s Mountain.

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park in Manitou Springs offers underground cave tours focused on geology and local ghost stories. Above ground, visitors can try activities such as high ropes courses, climbing walls, or riding the Bat-A-Pult over a 200-foot cliff.

Finally, Garden of the Gods Park remains popular among locals for its trails and scenic drives. However, residents are encouraged to explore new ways to experience the park through horseback riding, Segway tours, Jeep tours or e-bike rentals.

These resolutions aim to encourage both new visitors and longtime residents to discover more about what Colorado Springs has to offer.
