The City of Colorado Springs announced on Apr. 17 that Stefanie Boster has been chosen as the new City Attorney and Chief Legal Officer, pending confirmation by the City Council.
Boster was selected after a national search process. Her appointment is seen as important for providing legal guidance to city leadership and ensuring effective management of legal matters affecting the community.
Boster currently serves as Deputy City Attorney for Fort Collins and previously worked as City Attorney in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She has experience advising municipal leaders, managing legal teams, and addressing complex issues related to utilities, land use, and governance.
“Stefanie brings a powerful combination of litigation experience, public service, and deep municipal legal expertise,” said Mayor Yemi Mobolade. “As a former local elected official, she understands the responsibility of this role and the importance of timely, sound legal guidance. She is proactive, responsive, and solutions-oriented; qualities that will help our city navigate complexity and deliver results. I am confident she will lead with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to serving the people of Colorado Springs.”
The City Attorney’s Office provides legal counsel to the Mayor, City Council, Colorado Springs Utilities and all city enterprises and departments.
