CommonSpirit Health’s Greater Denver Market is organizing a virtual panel discussion focused on breast health, titled “Prevention, Detection, Protection: A Team Approach to Breast Health.” The event will be held online via Zoom on February 18 from 5 to 6 p.m. and is open to the public at no cost.
The panel will feature several medical professionals specializing in different aspects of breast cancer care. Dr. Hilarie Gutierrez, a breast radiologist, will discuss early detection methods and their significance. Dr. Nancy Taft and Dr. Gretchen Ahrendt, both breast surgeons, are set to talk about risk factors and personalized assessment strategies. Medical oncologist Dr. Eric Bernicker will address how lifestyle choices can impact breast cancer prevention. Radiation oncologist Dr. Chris Deig will focus on survivorship and preventing recurrence, while nurse navigator Olivia Ficarrotta will provide information about wellness resources and support systems available to patients.
