Costilla Street will be closed east of Wahsatch Avenue starting Monday, Nov. 10, to allow for the removal of an unused railroad bridge. The closure is expected to last until Jan. 30, depending on weather conditions.

The bridge is being removed because it is in poor condition and poses a safety risk to travelers. Drivers are advised to use detour routes via Pikes Peak Avenue to the north and Fountain Boulevard to the south.

For questions or concerns regarding the project, individuals can contact City Engineering at (719) 385-5908 or email City.Engineering@ColoradoSprings.gov.
