Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City to close for improvements on October 6

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced that the Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City will be temporarily closed starting October 6. The closure is expected to last up to 30 days while improvements are made, including the replacement of the HVAC system.

To assist travelers, variable message signs will be used to inform drivers about the closure and direct them to alternative rest stops.

“Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City to close temporarily beginning Oct. 6,” CDOT stated.

The department advises drivers to plan accordingly during this period as work is completed at the rest area.
