The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on April 7 that all northbound lanes on Colorado Highway 157 (Foothills Parkway) at Pearl Street in Boulder will be closed from Friday evening, April 10, until Sunday evening, April 12. The closure is necessary to allow crews from ACME Concrete Paving Inc. to remove and replace concrete panels as part of a pavement rehabilitation project.
This temporary closure is intended to ensure the safety of both motorists and workers while reducing the overall duration of traffic impacts. Northbound travelers will be rerouted off CO 157 at the Pearl Street exit and directed across Pearl Street to re-enter via the CO 157 on-ramp. Drivers using both northbound CO 157 and east or westbound Pearl Street should expect delays of up to fifteen minutes during the closure period.
A single-lane closure will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, followed by a full roadway shutdown at 9 p.m., which will remain in place through the weekend before reopening Sunday evening. Southbound lanes on CO 157 will stay open throughout this period. Uniformed traffic control officers will be present to help manage vehicle flow, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.
