A section of Hopeful Drive in Colorado Springs will close for about nine months starting the week of October 20. The closure is necessary for the replacement of the bridge over the Templeton Creek channel, which is part of the Park Vista Drainage Improvements project.

During this period, through traffic will not be allowed on Hopeful Drive between Sedate Way and North Blissful Circle. Detours will be provided for both drivers and pedestrians. The timeline for the project may change depending on weather conditions.

The City of Colorado Springs Stormwater Enterprise is leading the project to improve storm drainage in the Park Vista South Neighborhood. These improvements are aimed at addressing drainage and flooding problems that have affected the Templeton Gap Floodway in the past.

More information about the project is available on the official website at coloradosprings.gov/ParkVistaCOS. Updates can also be requested by emailing ParkVistaCOSInfo@gmail.com or by calling (719) 425-8655.
