IAM Local 318’s Joseph Rumrey, who represents rail workers in Boston at Keolis, recently took part in a leadership training session held at the IAM Winpisinger Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The program brought together about 14 union representatives from various parts of the United States. The training focused on developing key skills such as claims writing and preparing for legal investigations. According to organizers, these skills are essential for union leaders to effectively support their members.

In addition to personal development, the broader goals of the rail division include efforts to secure funding for commuter rail systems and expand high-speed rail infrastructure across the country.
