Registration is now open for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training organized by the IAM Veteran Services Department. The event will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Interested members must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.
The training program offers U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits instruction delivered by certified professionals. Members who complete the course will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team, a network of trained advocates supporting IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.
According to the IAM Veteran Services Department, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”
The call letter includes details about tuition policies, transportation arrangements, and curriculum specifics. Registration can be completed using the Departmental Program Registration Form.
For further information or questions regarding the training or registration process, members are encouraged to contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
