The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department has opened registration for two upcoming leadership programs in March 2026. The Women’s Leadership Program will take place from March 1 to March 6, while the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is scheduled for March 15 to March 20. Both sessions will be held at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The Women’s Leadership Program aims to encourage female union members to become more active within their local chapters and districts. According to the IAM, the program focuses on building leadership abilities and developing skills in organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

For those who have already completed the initial program, the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program offers an opportunity to further enhance these skills. Participants will continue developing their expertise in leadership development as well as other areas such as organizing and strategic planning.

“IAM sisters are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership,” according to information provided by the organization.

Details regarding tuition, transportation, and curriculum can be found in the official call letter, which also includes instructions for registration through the Departmental Program Registration Form.

The deadline for registering for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. The deadline for the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is February 11, 2026. Members seeking additional information or with questions are advised to contact the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department at 301-967-4747.

Eligible members are encouraged by IAM officials to participate in these educational opportunities as part of efforts to build a stronger and more inclusive organization.
