Dozens of delegates from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) convened in Atlanta for a conference organized by the Georgia State Council, which serves as the union’s political advocacy group within the state. The event focused on preparing for the upcoming midterm elections and strengthening member involvement in political activities.

During the conference, IAM members had the opportunity to engage directly with election candidates. Discussions centered on topics important to working families, reflecting the council’s ongoing efforts to advocate for labor interests through political action.

The meeting is part of a broader strategy by the IAM Georgia State Council to mobilize its membership ahead of key elections and ensure that workers’ voices are represented in policy discussions.
