IAM Union leaders, including International President Brian Bryant and Resident General Vice President Jody Bennett, recently toured facilities in Wisconsin to meet with members from Mercury Marine (Local 1947) and John Deere (Local 873). Chief of Staff Vinny Addeo also joined the visit.

During the tours, local officials guided the IAM officers and staff through the production areas. Bryant commented on his experience at both sites, stating his appreciation for the quality of work and skills demonstrated by union members who manufacture Mercury Outboard engines and John Deere equipment. “Bryant recounts his recent visits to both facilities, expressing his admiration for the high-quality work and skills displayed by the union members in manufacturing products like Mercury Outboard engines and premium John Deere equipment.”

Workers at Mercury Marine highlighted their expertise in machining, pouring, and grinding processes. They expressed pride in producing American-made products as part of their daily responsibilities.
