The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers held its annual MNPL Conference in Savannah, Ga. on March 31, bringing together about 300 union members focused on labor politics and fundraising.
The event aimed to update participants on legislative priorities and strategies ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. Legislative leaders addressed the attendees, discussing the current political landscape and the organization’s path forward.
Following the conference, IAM delegates joined the No Kings rally and march in downtown Savannah. During this demonstration, they voiced criticism of the President’s labor policies.
The gathering highlighted ongoing concerns among union members regarding national labor policy directions as well as their continued efforts to influence legislation through political engagement.
As election season approaches, IAM members are expected to maintain active involvement in both advocacy work and public demonstrations related to workers’ rights.
