Issaquah Drive south of Dublin Boulevard will be closed starting Tuesday, December 2, for construction and the installation of a new traffic signal. This closure is part of the ongoing Dublin Boulevard Improvements project.
According to city officials, Issaquah Drive north of Dublin Boulevard is nearly finished and is expected to reopen on Tuesday. On that day, crews will also paint new lane lines on Dublin Boulevard near Issaquah Drive during daytime hours. This work will temporarily shift all traffic to the north side of the road. Once this task is complete, Issaquah Drive south of Dublin Boulevard will close until late January for full reconstruction.
Earlier in the project, crews removed the center median on Dublin Boulevard west of Marksheffel Road to create temporary left-turn lanes into nearby businesses. During the closure, drivers can still access businesses using a temporary entrance located about 300 feet away from Issaquah Drive. Businesses south of the closure will remain open.
Mustang Rim Drive at Dublin Boulevard will stay open so drivers who miss the main entrance can use it to reach homes or businesses. Detour signs will guide drivers using Issaquah Drive and Peterson Road.
The improvements to Dublin Boulevard stretch from Fieler Drive to Marksheffel Road and include expanding the road from two lanes to four lanes with shoulders, adding a raised median, building a ten-foot multi-use path on both sides of the street, connecting trails along Sand Creek, and installing a new traffic signal at Issaquah Drive. Drainage upgrades such as storm sewer pipes and water quality structures are also part of the plan.
The construction schedule depends on weather conditions and may change. For current information about travel impacts or changes in traffic patterns, residents can text DUBLIN to 866-762-3640 for alerts, call 719-472-3065 for updates, or visit ColoradoSprings.gov/Dublin.
