Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) has announced several service updates that will take effect starting March 29, 2026. These changes come after MMT engaged the public for feedback and received strong community support.
Among the notable adjustments, Route 3 will move to a zero-fare model and increase its weekday daytime frequency from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes. This change is partly funded by the City of Manitou Springs and the Colorado Springs Parking Enterprise. Weekend daytime frequencies for Routes 5 and 25 will also shift from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes.
Other updates include Route 10, which will see weekend daytime frequency improved from hourly service to every half hour, along with a new Saturday evening service operating once an hour. For Route 11, weekend daytime frequency will also be increased from every hour to every half hour.
Route 20 will be discontinued, but expanded service on Routes 10 and 11 is expected to cover affected areas during weekends. The ZEB Downtown Shuttle’s weekday daytime frequency will be slightly adjusted from seven minutes to ten minutes.
Additional changes include two new stops for Route 17 near Uintah Street and 17th Street. Buses on Route 33 will now end at the Dillon Mobility Hub before going out of service, aiming to improve connections for riders. Route 40 is set to operate year-round with extended weekday hours in line with other routes.
