OmniTabz, an Australian company specializing in satellite Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, has joined Viasat’s ELEVATE partner program. The move is expected to expand IoT adoption in remote areas where traditional network coverage and grid power are limited or unavailable.

OmniTabz has developed OrbiSync, a solution that combines LoRaWAN gateways with satellite backhaul. This integration allows for real-time data transfer from remote sensors to dashboards or APIs, making it suitable for industries operating outside the reach of conventional networks. The system supports a variety of LoRaWAN-compliant sensors and provides flexible data access options.

The OrbiSync platform is designed to improve operational oversight by enabling monitoring and control of assets in hard-to-reach locations. It aims to enhance workplace safety by offering better visibility into remote conditions and reduce costs associated with manual inspections. Its solar-powered design, along with battery backup, allows extended operation without relying on grid electricity.

Through its membership in the ELEVATE program, OmniTabz will work within Viasat’s broader partner network to deliver comprehensive IoT connectivity solutions tailored for complex industrial needs in isolated environments.

“The collaboration with OmniTabz plans to help accelerate the adoption of IoT solutions in challenging environments. As a member of ELEVATE, Omnitabz can work within our wider partner network and utilize our satellite network to provide comprehensive IoT connectivity solutions that address the complex needs of industries operating in remote areas.”

Now part of Viasat ELEVATE, OmniTabz aims to contribute to improved business efficiency, safety, and sustainability through advanced IoT technologies. Both companies see their partnership as essential for addressing challenges faced by organizations seeking reliable data connections in difficult-to-access regions.
