The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will implement overnight closures on US Highway 6, west of Holyoke, to allow for safety-related construction work. The project involves setting girders on a bridge structure currently under reconstruction.
According to CDOT, US 385 at Mile Point 279 will be closed overnight on Thursday, Sept. 4 and Friday, Sept. 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. The closure is located west of US 385 and east of County Road 37.
During the closure, detours will be in place for both directions of traffic. Westbound drivers on US 6 are advised to head west on US 6, turn left on CR 35, turn right on CR 24, then right again on US 385 to reconnect with US 6 east of the closure. Eastbound drivers should head east on US 6, turn right on US 385, turn left on CR 24, and then left again on CR 35 to reconnect with US 6 west of the closure.
CDOT notes that “the work schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change.”
Nighttime working hours are scheduled from Thursday to Friday between 5:30 p.m. and 7 a.m.
