The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and SEMA Construction, Inc. will implement overnight lane closures on northbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs as part of the I-25 Acceleration/Deceleration Lanes Project. The closures are scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, while crews set girders on the bridge structure over Ellston Street from Mile Point 144 near Fillmore Street to Mile Point 146 near Garden of the Gods Road.

“On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 2, motorists can expect lane closures on northbound I-25 between Fillmore Street and Garden of the Gods Road:

From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., the northbound right lane will be closed
From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound right lane and middle lane will be closed
During the double lane closures traffic will be reduced to one lane
All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3
From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sinton Trail will be closed at Ellston Street under I-25
Work is weather-dependent and subject to change”

Motorists traveling through this area should anticipate delays due to these restrictions.
