Paving operations are set to begin today on the west side of US 50 Monarch Pass, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The work is scheduled to run from August 18 through August 20 between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Motorists traveling in the area should anticipate up to 15-minute delays as crews will be managing alternating one-lane traffic during these hours.

The department has provided a map outlining the paving zones and encourages drivers to plan for possible slowdowns along this stretch of highway.
