The Sertich Ice Center announced on March 20 that registration is now open for its Spring 2026 Learn to Skate USA classes, offering lessons for children and adults of all skill levels. The program welcomes first-time skaters as well as advanced participants.

The Learn to Skate program aims to provide a structured and nationally recognized curriculum that helps build confidence, coordination, and foundational skating skills in a safe environment. Classes are available for various age groups, including introductory programs for young children, youth hockey skating, teen instruction, and adult lessons. Skaters advance at their own pace as they master each level.

“The Learn to Skate program is designed to help participants of all ages build skills, confidence, and a lifelong connection to skating,” said Greg Sodbinow, Program Administrator at the Sertich Ice Center & Acacia Park Rink.

Registration can be completed online at ColoradoSprings.gov/LearnToSkate or in person at Sertich Ice Center located at 1705 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Registration will close on April 2.

Learn to Skate USA is endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, US Speed Skating, and Special Olympics. The program focuses on developing agility, balance, coordination, and strength while encouraging physical activity and social engagement among participants.
