The City of Colorado Springs announced on Apr. 10 the completion of the South Nevada Signals project, which upgraded two intersections along South Nevada Avenue at Ramona Avenue and St. Elmo Avenue.
According to city officials, the work replaced old traffic signal infrastructure and included safety improvements for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers in the area.
The project was a partnership between the City of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Department of Transportation. Officials said these changes are intended to support safer and more reliable travel through this corridor for all users.
“These improvements support safer and more reliable travel through the corridor for everyone who uses the area,” according to a statement from city representatives.
City officials also thanked residents for their patience during construction efforts. More information about the project is available at ColoradoSprings.gov/SouthNevadaSignals.
