The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced that work will begin on upgrading the traffic signals at the intersection of Colorado Highway 82 and Catherine Store Road in Carbondale. The project, which is set to start on Monday, September 15, will be led by Morton Electric as the prime contractor.
According to CDOT, the planned improvements include replacing signal equipment on existing traffic poles. The upgrades will also feature new electrical systems, updated signage, and modernized signal heads. In addition to these changes, the intersection will receive new striping and crosswalk pavement markings.
CDOT stated that these enhancements are intended to improve safety and efficiency at a busy intersection in Carbondale.
