Southbound I-25 in Colorado Springs to close overnight for bridge repairs April 17

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on April 13 that southbound Interstate 25 at Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs will be fully closed overnight on Friday, April 17. The closure is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning as crews conduct bridge deck repairs and replace expansion devices.

The closure is intended to ensure public safety while critical maintenance work takes place. The department said the schedule depends on weather conditions and may change if necessary.

Motorists traveling southbound can expect lane reductions beginning at 7 p.m., with a full closure and detour route starting at 10 p.m. The department also anticipates additional closures: northbound I-25 will close overnight on May 1, and another southbound closure is planned for May 8, both at Garden of the Gods Road. Advance notice and updates will be provided to keep the public informed.
