Southbound Interstate 25 near the 20th Street off-ramp in Denver reopened after crews removed a large piece of construction equipment that had fallen from a flatbed truck early Wednesday morning. According to officials, four of the five lanes were closed following the incident, which occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. in a coned-off work zone.

The Colorado Department of Transportation reported that contract crews were removing the equipment after completing overnight resurfacing work on I-25 when it fell and landed on its side. The closure allowed for the safe removal of the heavy machinery and ensured no injuries or further damage took place during cleanup.
