Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) has collaborated with Palmer High School students to create a bus wrap that highlights both student art and environmental awareness. The project is part of the Ride Free Summer 2025 initiative, which aims to encourage public transit use and promote clean air.

Palmer High School art students submitted three designs for the bus wrap. Elements from each design were combined into one final version so that all participating artists are represented on the bus. The initiative was made possible through a partnership with Colorado Springs School District 11 and funding from the Ozone Season Free Transit Grant Program, which supports clean air efforts and increased use of public transportation.

Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager, stated: “This is more than just a bus, this is a rolling tribute to student creativity and a cleaner future. We’re proud to partner with Colorado Springs School District 11 to bring this vision to life.”

The final wrap was installed before the school year began. The bus made a special stop at Palmer High School on October 28 to recognize the student artists and display their work.
