Colorado Springs offers a variety of ice skating rinks suitable for both experienced skaters and beginners. The city’s facilities cater to different interests, from figure skating and hockey to public sessions for families and individuals.

Sertich Ice Center is open to skaters and hockey players of all skill levels. It provides programs such as learn-to-skate classes, public skating sessions, and birthday parties. Visitors can choose between a three-month unlimited membership or a 10-punch pass. Admission prices are $6 for children (17 and under), $7 for adults, with skate rentals available for $4. “Bobby the Seal” skate assists are offered at $7 each. The center’s schedule includes daily public skating from 11:45am-1:15pm, with additional power hour sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

World Arena Ice Hall features both Olympic- and NHL-sized rinks where athletes have trained professionally. The facility also has a ballet studio, café, sports shop, and offers pick-up hockey limited to 20 participants plus three goalies on a first-come basis. General admission is $6 with skate rental at $4. Public skating is scheduled on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays; pick-up hockey takes place Saturday mornings.

Each winter season from December through January, Acacia Park becomes Acacia Skate in the Park—a temporary outdoor rink offering special events like skating with the Air Force Academy Falcons or free Learn To Skate days hosted by U.S. Figure Skating. Adult admission is $15 including skate rental; children four and under skate free with an adult.

Cadet Ice Arena at the U.S. Air Force Academy provides programs in adult dance skating, synchronized routines, and more. Admission requires a $17 USFS fee; schedules vary monthly.

Ed Robson Arena hosts Colorado College Tigers games along with public sessions, freestyle figure skating opportunities, stick-and-puck drop-ins, and adult pick-up hockey events. Skate sharpening services are also available.

Additionally, visitors can explore the World Figure Skating Museum & Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs to view artifacts such as Olympic costumes—including Kristi Yamaguchi’s black dress—medals, and memorabilia related to the sport’s history.
