The slip exit lane from northbound Peterson Road to eastbound Space Village Avenue will be permanently closed starting Monday, February 23. This closure is part of a safety improvement project in the area.

During construction, drivers who want to turn eastbound will need to use the signalized intersection. The northbound lanes between Peterson Space Force Base North Gate and Space Village Avenue will open alternately to allow traffic through. This phase of work is expected to continue until Friday, February 27. Drivers are advised to watch for updated local traffic signs.

The ongoing project aims to reconstruct the Highway 24 and Peterson Road Interchange for improved safety and efficiency near the entrance of Peterson Space Force Base North Gate. More information about the project and a sign-up option for monthly updates can be found at ColoradoSprings.gov/US24Peterson.
