UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital has been named the top hospital in Colorado for the 14th year in a row by U.S. News & World Report. The annual rankings also placed UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs and UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland as tied for third best in the state, making them the highest-ranked hospitals in their respective regions.

Elizabeth B. Concordia, president and CEO of UCHealth, commented on the achievement: “This achievement underscores the remarkable commitment of UCHealth’s staff and providers, whose compassion and expertise place our patients at the center of everything we do. Improving lives and delivering exceptional care isn’t just our mission, it’s our daily promise to the communities we serve.”

The U.S. News rankings highlighted University of Colorado Hospital among the nation’s best hospitals in four specialties: pulmonology and lung surgery (in partnership with National Jewish Health), cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, and obstetrics and gynecology. The hospital also received high marks for treatments involving acute kidney failure, various heart conditions including stroke, arrhythmias and heart failure, as well as spinal fusion and hip fractures.

Tom Gronow, president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital, expressed appreciation for staff contributions: “I’d like to express my gratitude for our staff members, nurses, physicians and advanced practice providers who deliver such excellent care each day. Through our close collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, we are the state’s only academic medical center and are able to bring the latest treatments and innovations to our patients, while also maintaining our focus on exceptional quality.”

In addition to recognition from U.S. News & World Report, The Lown Institute recognized UCHealth as one of the nation’s top-performing health care systems regarding social responsibility, community benefits, health care value, and patient outcomes for a second time.

In fiscal year 2024, UCHealth reported caring for 2.7 million patients across its system. The organization provided more than $1.3 billion in community benefits during that period—including $570 million dedicated to care for patients unable to pay.
