The Strategic Planning Working Group at the University of Colorado is moving forward with the development of its next strategic plan, known as Strategic Plan 2.0. The group has recently held its second meeting and is preparing to begin discussions with members of the university community.

Lynn Vidler, provost at UCCS, and Chad Marturano, vice president and chief financial officer for the CU system, are co-chairs of the group. They will attend several governance group leadership meetings throughout the 2025-26 academic year to speak with faculty, staff, and students.

“The conversations will be essential in shaping a strategic direction that reflects the values and aspirations of the entire community,” according to the announcement.

An interactive engagement tool is being developed by the working group. This tool will be available on the Strategic Planning website later in the fall and will allow members of the CU community to share feedback, review emerging themes, and stay updated on progress.

The working group includes faculty, staff, and administrators from all four campuses as well as CU system administration. Its task is to create a plan that aligns with CU’s mission and vision while guiding future growth.

A draft version of Strategic Plan 2.0 is scheduled for submission to President Todd Saliman by June 2026. The final version will be presented to the Board of Regents in summer 2026. Until then, CU’s original 2021-26 Strategic Plan remains in effect.

For more information or to provide feedback about this process, individuals can visit the CU Strategic Plan 2.0 website or contact CUStratPlan@cu.edu.
