The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) has announced a new initiative as part of its 60th anniversary. The university introduced what it calls the “differentiator,” which is intended to define the institution’s identity and future direction.

According to UCCS, this development follows a year-long process involving engagement with both the campus and local community. The university states that through listening, reflection, and encouraging broader thinking, they identified an approach that outlines their current identity and future ambitions.

A statement from UCCS reads: “After a year of engaging the campus and our community through listening, reflecting, and challenging ourselves to think bigger, we arrived at a differentiator that clearly declares who we are and who we are determined to become.”

The announcement included contributions from various members of the campus and surrounding community who participated in shaping this effort.

To provide more information about how the differentiator was developed and to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming steps, UCCS encourages interested parties to visit their Differentiator website.

“This is just the beginning. Join us as we shape the future, together,” the university said in its announcement.
