The University of Colorado is inviting submissions for the 2026 CU Innovation & Efficiency (CU I&E) Awards Program. The program recognizes employees who develop ideas that improve processes and save resources across the university system. Submissions are open until March 31.
The awards highlight a range of innovations from past years, including improvements in academic workflows, research operations, and campuswide processes that have increased efficiency and communication within university units.
In 2025, the top award went to “Sustainability in Simulation Operations,” a project by Emily Bishop from CU Anschutz. For the upcoming cycle, individuals or teams whose projects are selected by a judging panel can receive cash prizes of up to $1,500.
The Office of University Controller encourages employees to participate: “Don’t miss this chance to inspire others and be recognized for your contributions. Share your success story and help drive innovation at CU.”
