The University of Colorado’s Federal Relations and Counsel released an update on January 9, covering several federal policy issues relevant to the university. The topics addressed include fiscal year 2026 appropriations, H-1B visa regulations, court cases involving the National Institutes of Health (NIH) related to facilities and administrative costs as well as canceled grants, a letter from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), a memorandum from the Department of Justice and Education regarding opinion guidance, and new vaccination recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
