The University of Colorado’s Federal Relations and Counsel has provided an update on several federal issues affecting the institution as of February 13. The update addresses topics such as fiscal year 2026 appropriations, the Genesis Mission, changes to Department of Energy (DOE) funding policies, developments related to the Department of the Interior (DOW), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grant cancellations, a pause in NASA science funds, layoffs at the National Lab of the Rockies, and the discontinuation of DOW graduate education programs at Harvard.
