An ongoing survey is inviting input from the University of Colorado (CU) community as part of the development of the university’s next strategic plan. The survey, which was distributed via email, seeks responses from faculty, staff, and students regarding the future direction of CU.

According to university officials, those who already completed the survey following an initial invitation in November did not receive a follow-up email. The survey asks recipients to share their perspectives on university priorities and opportunities for improvement.

To participate, community members must use the unique link provided in their email with the subject line “Share Your Voice on CU’s Future.” Each link is personalized and cannot be shared. Completing the survey is expected to take about 10 minutes.

The campus that achieves the highest response rate among faculty, staff, and students will receive a $1,000 donation for its campus food pantry.

“This survey is designed to gather perspectives on university priorities, performance and opportunities for improvement,” President Todd Saliman said in his email launching the effort. “The insights you provide will help shape our next Strategic Plan as we work to continue delivering for our community.”

Strategic Planning Co-Chairs Lynn Vidler, provost at UCCS, and Chad Marturano, vice president and chief financial officer for the CU system, stated that feedback from all parts of the community will play a key role in forming a plan that aligns with collective values and goals.

The new strategic plan will replace CU’s current five-year plan at the end of this academic year. A draft version is scheduled to be delivered to President Saliman by June. The final Strategic Plan 2.0 is set to be presented to the Board of Regents during the summer.
