The University of Colorado (CU) is conducting a survey as part of the development process for its next Strategic Plan, known as Strategic Plan 2.0. The survey, which targets all faculty, staff, and students within the CU community, will close on Friday, February 6.

According to the university, the survey was distributed via email and those who had not completed it received a reminder on Monday, February 2. Each participant receives a unique link with the subject line “Share Your Voice on CU’s Future,” which cannot be shared with others. The survey is estimated to take about ten minutes to complete.

To encourage participation, CU has announced that the campus with the highest completion rate among faculty, staff, and students will receive a $1,000 donation for its campus food pantry.

President Todd Saliman stated in his launch email late last year: “This survey is designed to gather perspectives on university priorities, performance and opportunities for improvement. The insights you provide will help shape our next Strategic Plan as we work to continue delivering for our community.”

Strategic Planning Co-Chairs Lynn Vidler, provost at UCCS, and Chad Marturano, vice president and chief financial officer for the CU system emphasized that input from faculty, staff and students is crucial in forming a strategic direction that reflects community values and goals.

The upcoming plan will replace CU’s current five-year strategy at the end of this academic year. A draft of Strategic Plan 2.0 is scheduled to be submitted to President Saliman by June. The final version will be presented to the Board of Regents during the summer.
